Yes, you read that right. No, it’s not a joke. I am moving to Kazakhstan this summer.
I have been accepted by Princeton in Asia to teach English and hopefully some Economics at KIMEP University, which is, from what I have been told, the premier Business University in Kazakhstan.
A huge draw for me to apply for this experience was not only the job, which matches my academic passions, but also the geographic location: I’ll be surrounded by some huge mountains to the south. At this point, I believe I will be leaving the United States in mid- to late July, and will be in Kazakhstan for one calendar year. I am already planning to study Russian pretty intensively once I am finished with my ski competition season, and will do my best to keep in touch with you during the moving process.
